FOOLING - The Art of the Fool

In the Being Love New Year's Eve Retreat you have the opportunity to say goodbye to the old year with ease and joy and to welcome the new year full of creativity and discovery. The heart and common thread of our joint research will be fooling. This is a playful way of making your inner parts visible and tangible. Your life is a play. You are the actor and director in it. You invite fellow actors onto your stage, who also invite you onto their stage. On this relationship stage, things often get very serious (drama) and, especially in the context of early attachment injuries (tragedy or crime), the lightness falls by the wayside at some point.

Your inner fool can bring a twist to the play. He holds the key to creativity and ignorance. Most of the time you suppress his voice for fear of making a fool of yourself or showing yourself vulnerable, and thus lose contact with deeper wisdom and spontaneity. Regaining his simple and curious view of the world and your relationship with others can bring you back close to the root of your true nature.

Do you dare to be different? Do you risk making a fool of yourself? Let your hidden and taboo inner parts appear on a consciously chosen stage and welcome the new year - freer, lighter, more lively! We and our inner fool children will discover and explore the landscapes of La Palma in order to see the world and ourselves through the eyes of the fool. This will give you completely new perspectives. Fooling can enrich your everyday relationships and work life in 2025!

The Retreat Site offers you accommodation and a garden that nourishes and purifies your body with fresh vegan food. A starry sky with millions of glowing points, campfire sparks flying into the night, guitar sounds, singing and community.

The Being Love New Year's Eve Retreat invites you to get involved in development and reorientation. It invites you to clarify yourself, to face your inner issues and to allow what wants to come to the surface. It wants to ask you what is stopping you from being truly alive. You can be here with everything that moves you - just as you were thrown into the world, with your issues, your dreams, your trauma, your pain and your joy... Detached from the fixed paths that your everyday life otherwise directs you to.

We are together!

The whole retreat is a process and an experiment in which the group grows and forms, in which we learn from one another and practice on one another, in our interactions with one another, in our exchanges, in honestly expressing everything that moves us, in order to show ourselves, to get involved, to grow and to express our vitality with ever greater power. You can glide into the new year enriched and inspired - armed to shape the new year consciously and authentically. Let's set off together! Because WE are the ones who have control over what happens to us and the world!

The location:

A Retreat Site in the northwest of La Palma (near Las Tricias/Puntagorda) Deep ecology and permaculture are the orientation in being with this wonderful and challenging piece of earth, i.e. life here is close to nature, simple and oriented towards our original needs: movement, touch, being supported and nourished and love. The focus is somatic movement art, nature therapy & meditation, dance, e.g. contact improvisation, self- and co-regulation.

Ganesha

(the Indian elephant god with 4 arms) is the patron of the Retreat Site worshipped as a gifted dancer and agile lover. He is a sweet-toothed, gracious, kind, friendly, humorous, jovial, clever, human and playful, mischievous god who often plays pranks. Ganesha is asked when you need luck, success or good luck on your path or at the beginning of a new venture. It stands for every new beginning and embodies wisdom and intelligence. Procedure:

Every morning we start the day together with meditation, exercise, meeting and/or sharing. In the first few days we will teach the tools of our time together: Curiosity about yourself and others, responsibility for your own feelings, transparency about what is going on inside you, freedom to follow your own impulses and show boundaries and of course fooling! We will go on trips to beaches, gorges and mountain peaks to play with the elements of nature. The New Year's Eve ritual will emerge from the group.

Circumstances:

You can expect neither luxury nor a ready-to-use program, but raw, pure forces that shake your soul, such as a cold pool, the wide view of the Atlantic and raw cocoa. Chaos and coincidence give you the confidence that everything is there and that what you need will happen at any time. There is space and time to simply be and to sense your intuition in the shared flow. Nudity, physicality and sensuality are open topics and everyone feels what is right for them.

Food:

Food is an important topic for us because we draw our energy from food and at the same time bear responsibility for its origin and production. The water comes from a mountain spring. We try to grow and harvest as much of what we eat ourselves in the finca's permaculture garden. We also shop at the Mercadillo, the weekly farmers' market in the nearby village of Puntagorda, and in the organic shops, i.e. everything is grown regionally and organically as far as possible.

We prepare everything fresh together and eat vegan, without industrially produced sugar, largely without gluten and a lot of raw food. Please bring any special foods you need with you. You can buy sweets etc. in the organic shop during our excursions.

It is possible to arrive as early as December 28th and acclimatize yourself. You can also stay after the retreat - please contact Roland: +49 1511-529 1301.

Flights:

We are actually against the frequent flying of our time, which releases too much CO2 into the atmosphere. At the same time, we have discovered that the nature of La Palma and the Finca Ganeshamor are magical places that can contribute to the transformation of each individual and the world. To compensate, we will be planting trees during the Being Love New Year's Eve retreat.

There are always cheap flights to Santa Cruz de La Palma (SPC)

(ATTENTION: You have to go to the island of La Palma/Canary Islands, not to Palma de Mallorca or Las Palmas/Gran Canaria), e.g. with easyjet, Condor or Iberia. If you are taking a direct flight, it is safer to book with the airline, as you will get your money back if the flight is cancelled! This is not guaranteed with a travel provider like kiwi.com! If you use several airlines on a multi-leg flight, the travel provider is better because you will receive a replacement flight if there is a delay...

Organizational:

Participants: max. 20 people of different ages, a head for heights and surefootedness are an advantage on our excursions

Time: Arrival between December 28th and 30th - Retreat from December 30th, 2024 at sunset (6 p.m.) to January 10th, 2025 at noon (12 p.m. after breakfast) - Departure between January 10th and 12th

Prices: We want to enable many people to take part in the retreat, so there is a large sliding scale! Please feel what amount you would like to give and can give with all your heart, knowing that we live off of it. If you can't decide, take the average of €930. In addition, there are the daily flat rates for accommodation and accommodation (see 3.) 1. for the retreat: €580 to €1280

3. Daily flat rates for accommodation, pitch rental and vegan Organic food:

- in your own tent: €35/night

- in a communal tent or natural cave (including mattress): €40 (€35 for two people)

- in the existing mobile home (including bed and bedding): €40 (€35 for two people)

- in the converted cave (window, bed, wooden floor, outdoor kitchen): €45 (€40 for two people)

- in a simple house (including bed and bedding, shower, outdoor kitchen): €50 (€45 for two people)

- Houses/rooms in the immediate vicinity: from €40 plus €20 for Ganeshamor. (If you would like to book this, please contact Roland (rohlandfrohland@gmail.com) as soon as possible.)

Mobility: In order to be mobile on the island, some participants should rent a car. We will redistribute these costs to everyone, i.e. there will be around €150 for everyone. If you have a driver's license and are willing to rent a car, please state this when registering.
